Jesus Alán joined Schmidt Design Group after graduating from the University of Arizona with a Masters in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelors in Architecture. His education included collaborating with seasoned designers and planners to revitalize community cores in Latin America and the Middle East to help re-establish their economy, function, social-culture, environment, and aesthetics. This experience serves as an inspiration to provide great impact at low cost through landscape design. Originally from the Sonoran Desert, Jesus Alán is a native Spanish-speaker and serves as a cultural resource of knowledge during community outreach efforts. He recognizes the importance of cultural awareness when designing spaces that represent its surrounding community.
