Chris Hewitt joined Schmidt Design Group in May 2019, upon moving to California. Prior to his move he graduated with his Master of Landscape Architecture in 2017 from Rutgers University Graduate School of New Brunswick and began working as a landscape designer for a civil engineering firm in his home state of New Jersey. Stemming from his time in the civil engineering world, Chris developed an interest in how design and functionality go hand in hand to create an effective and memorable space by emphasizing the importance of communicating design through proper documentation.
