Char brings extensive Accounting experience to Schmidt Design Group.  She initially worked for SDG as the Office Manager from 1998-2005. She then gained invaluable experience for 7 years as Controller of Coffman Specialties, a large Privately held Heavy Highway Construction Company. She was then recruited by Dynalectric, a Fortune 500 Company, as Controller where she led the Accounting Department for 10 years.  She has attended many seminars/schools in various parts of the nation, including the Babson School in Boston where she was in a class of 35 executives that were chosen from over 30,000 employees.  She is passionate about what she does and her financial background including her Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting and her further education brings valuable depth to the Accounting Department.  She also currently sits on the Executive Leadership Team for the nonprofit organization The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), where she strives to bring awareness and further development of finding a cure for Blood Cancer and Cancer of all types. Char returned to SDG in 2022, bringing her extensive Construction Accounting experience to the team.
