Parting Words from Intern Isabella Lim
I am so grateful for my time at Schmidt Design Group as their summer intern. As soon as I arrived, people immediately welcomed me and made the firm such a friendly and supportive environment. I got the opportunity to work with all four teams and to help with a variety of projects. Some of these included a plant legend, parks, housing, schoolyards, proposals, cost estimates, sketching, and site visits. My favorite project was working on a pickleball feasibility study where I got to sketch and update some designs in Photoshop and InDesign after a site visit to a park.
Going forward, I am excited to continue honing my skills in AutoCAD and gaining more skills in landscape architecture. Schmidt Design Group has given me invaluable experience for my professional practice, and I look forward to continuing working in this impactful field!
